Alberta Lewis
Alberta Lewis passed away over the weekend, after a long struggle. Miss Alberta was a pillar of the St. Bernard community and a super friend and mentor of Operation Southern Comfort. She was our Art Director, and oversaw our travelers' painting of countless roofing slates which she donated, casualties from her Angela Street house in Arabi. She made Sebastopol Plantation available to us, and was untiring in her efforts to teach us the history of the Plantation and the community. Her Toyota truck was our official pickup and delivery vehicle - it was a mainstay for tool and material procurement and distribution.
Services will be held at the plantation on Friday, February 24. Operation Southern Comfort will be represented by the SC38 travelers, who are there this week.
