Operation Southern Comfort

Operation Southern Comfort is truly a life changing experience. I am a teacher at a local school, and last year we took a number of students down during February Break. While hesitant at first about spending my vacation with a bunch of students very far away from home, I cannot wait to go back down in February 2010.

I not only learned skills that will help me throughout my life, I learned to appreciate what is truly important in life. Listening to the stories of some of the families that our group was helping, I began to realize that the complaints that I sometimes have in life are unimportant, and when it comes down to it, your family and your friends are what is important.

I cannot wait to go down again, and I am sure that it will not be my last trip. A truly unforgettable experience.
